No matter how frequently they release, OG colorways of certain Air Jordan models are always popular amongst sneaker enthusiasts and basketball fans. The 2013 Air Jordan Retro 3 “Fire Red” is a great example of that. While the Tinker Hatfield design has stood the test of time, the same can’t be said for some of the storyless colorways that have released over the years. But when an original comes back, like the Fire Red Jordan 3, it seems all of the memories from 25 years prior seem to flood the internet and the memory banks of those that saw Michael Jordan play back in the day. The Jordan Retro 3 Fire Red colorway stuck to its original design with a white upper, grey underlay below the laces and on the tongue, and of course, the Fire Red color on the Jumpman logo and midsole. The dark Elephant Print design helps this original colorway stand out from the other OGs even in retro form. Although 2013 was filled with Air Jordan 3 Retro releases both original and otherwise, the Air Jordan Retro 3 “Fire Red” sold well and was undoubtedly added back into the sneaker rotation for those that had to retire the previously released 2007 version from regular wear.
One of the four original Air Jordan 3 colorways, Michael Jordan wore this “Fire Red” version on court for much of 1988, making it a true icon of the Air Jordan line. this listing is for the shoe’s most recent re-release in 2013.
