Historically, the Air Jordan 14 Low has been an oft-forgotten proposition within Michael Jordan’s signature sneaker series, but the past half-decade has seen the model reenergized by a handful of strategic partnerships and colorways. Aleali May is the latest collaborator to reinterpret the low-top retro. Known as the “Fortune” style, the upcoming sneakers indulge in a premium suede build complemented by marble and metal-like tooling. The aforementioned material is overtaken by shades of “Light Sand,” while the latter two counterparts boast green and gold makeups, respectively. Although the Los Angeles-based designer hasn’t disclosed the inspiration behind her latest Jordans, it’s almost certain the pair’s arrangement is inspired by a deeply personal philosophy of hers, as story-telling is important to her every endeavor. Other touches of luxury include shimmering golden aglets and a co-branded, special edition shoe box clad in the shoes’ color scheme.
